Originating from the beautiful country of Burundi, in Central Africa, my journey unfolded to lead me to the dynamic state of New York in the United States. The decision to depart from Africa posed challenges, but my family, fueled by my mother’s vision for a better life, embraced the pursuit of new opportunities. Following transformative years in a camp, I devoted myself to honing my intellect and skills.

In the spring of 2015, my family and I made our way to America. United with my two sisters and six brothers, we embarked on this collective journey. Even prior to our arrival in America, my artistic spirit thrived, manifesting in sketches and drawings that adorned any available surface, be on the ground or scraps of paper.
